We are cautiously accepting applications for our 2021 marine conservation programs.

The Mozambican government has declared “State of Calamity”’, which will remain in place indefinitely. These regulations laid under the “State of Calamity” have imposed restrictions on movement within the country. These restrictions can change at short notice, so we will make updates here and send any information out to affected program participants.

Entry to Mozambique is allowed to all travellers with a valid tourist or residency visa. However, beaches are closed until April 7th and strict curfews are in place for restaurants so our programs cannot run until at least April 7th. Community gatherings of over 30 people are currently out-lawed and swimming pools are closed and are likely to stay that way for a while so it may not be possible to continue our community work in 2021.

Testing for COVID-19 may be required on arrival in Mozambique, at your expense. Travellers presenting a negative COVID-19 PCR test are exempt from the quarantine regime and therefore that is what our program participants must have. If you are from the UK you must arrange this test privately and not use the NHS for this. The test must have been issued in the departure country, within 96 hours prior to the time of arrival.

If you suspect you may have contracted the virus, or been in contact with someone who has within 14 days of flying, please do not board the plane – you’re putting yourself and everyone else at risk.

In 2020 you were not able to leave Mozambique without presenting a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of flying. This may change in 2021 but we cannot predict this so please make sure you have insurance or the means to cover you if you’re ill and contract it in country.
