As a small organisation, we’re always looking to expand our network. If you think your company would be interested in connecting with us so we can support each other, please email

Here are some organisations we’re already supported and endorsed by:

Jay's Pro Dive Centre

The amazing and dedicated team at Jay’s Pro Dive Centre facilitates our marine research. Jay's is an award-winning PADI Gold Star resort and their ethical and environmental policies are one of main drivers of our partnership. You can check out their team and dive centre on their website

Mission Blue

We're proud to be working in a Mission Blue Hope Spot. Our application to establish our area as a Hope Spot was approved in 2018 and we're thrilled to be working with such an amazing organisation!

University of Leeds

In 2021 we'll be running a new coral reef research project in conjunction with University of Leeds and our funder, Evercare.

Blue Marine Foundation

Blue Marine Foundation is a charity dedicated to restoring the ocean to health by addressing overfishing, one of the world’s biggest environmental problems.

Newcastle University

We take students in their second year of their marine biology degree as part of their placements to our base in Mozambique for our 2 week Research Program.

University of Eduardo Mondlane

We have a research partnership with Eduardo Mondlane University, Maputo, and we also sponsor at least two of their students to come to Jangamo and complete their Master's with us. Eduardo Mondlane is the only internationally recognised university in Mozambique that offers Marine Biology.

World Cetacean Alliance

The World Cetacean Alliance is the world’s largest Partnership working to protect whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans). Through cooperation, the Partners of the World Cetacean Alliance aim to conserve and protect cetaceans and their habitats in the world’s oceans, seas and rivers, to ensure their continued health and survival. Love The Oceans is a proud Partner of the World Cetacean Alliance.

Minorities In Shark Science

In 2022 Love The Oceans and MISS are teaming up to create a scholarship program for 2 MISS members to come to Mozambique and participate in our expeditions!

We are an unincorporated association based in the UK, raising both money and awareness for the issue that is shark finning. We were founded on the 24th November 2018, and we have been fundraising ever since. All our profits will be sent to Love the Oceans, a non-profit organisation based in Guinjata Bay, Mozambique, of which we are a supporting partner.

Swim Tayka

Swim Tayka is an international swimming charity that helps teach swimming around the world by sending qualified instructors to selected projects. They send instructors to help us with our intense swimming workshops which we run with our local swimming kids in August annually.

EveryCare is partnering with Love The Oceans and University of Leeds to run a coral reef research project. They'll also be funding training of our Ocean Conservation Champions as scuba divers to help with this research.

Campfire Academy

Campfire Academy is a Eco Safari Lodge in South Africa which LTO partners with as an optional extra for our volunteers after their time with us in Mozambique. We're partnered with Campfire for their incredible ethics and sustainable initiatives.

The Swimming Teachers’ Association is an international award-winning charity working towards the objective of preserving human life by the teaching of swimming, lifesaving and survival techniques. The STA is partnered with LTO to provide training tools to equip future generations of Mozambique children with the tools learn to swim.

PADI kindly sponsors us the qualifications for our Ocean Conservation Champions, Eduardo Mondlane Students and our MISS fellows on an annual basis. Their support means we can work to get more Mozambicans in the water and diversify the diving industry.

Red Paddle Co

Red Paddle Co sponsors all our Stand Up Paddleboards which we use to help research our whale population and as free-diving platforms. Red have been extremely supportive of our work and we really appreciate the boards they have sponsored!

Fourth Element

Fourth Element have sponsored our team wetsuits, fins, mask, rashies, skinsuits and booties. Through their equipment sponsorship they're supporting our work to qualify more Mozambicans as divers and ocean champions of the future.

DJI have sponsored us three drones for our whale and turtle surveys. These drones make beach surveys for nesting turtles much easier and more efficient allowing us to protect more nests. For whale surveys we can now positively identify pod dynamics and get more accurate information on our whales.

Bird Eyewear

Bird have sponsored our team with responsible, recycled, marine-resistant sunglasses for our boat work. Good eyewear is really important with the high levels of UV rays we regularly have in our eyes reflected off the water.

Osprey Europe

Osprey has supplied our team with multiple backpacks to ensure we're well equipped to complete our field work. We love Osprey's responsible and practical ethos!

One Green Bottle

One Green Bottle has sponsored our team amazing insulated bottles which means we can stay hydrated throughout our work! The insulated bottles means cold water stays cold which is just what's needed in our climate!

Subwing has sponsored us two subwings to conduct drag snorkels and map our reefs in the area! These pieces of equipment are very fun to use but also help us with our conservation work!

LTO has initiated the first ever free swimming lessons in our area and Zoggs has supported us by supplying numerous floats and goggles for the children and adults we teach.

Catalina Lodge

Catalina Lodge is a lodge local to us in Mozambique. Catalina is one of our main sponsors for the work we do at the local schools. Their consistent sponsorship has enabled us to continue our work at both Guinjata and Paindane School. They also offer luxury accommodation.

Buehler sponsored LTO by donating a Buehler Isomet Low Speed Saw and shipping it to South Africa for us! They continue to supply us with products enabling us to process samples while in Mozambique.
