11th August | COVID-19 UPDATE

A New State of Emergency has been decreed for 30 days, from 0H00 on 8 August until midnight on 6 September. This aims to ensure that there is no legal vacuum for the implementation of the anti-COVID measures.

It is planned that The National State of Emergency will be gradually lifted in phases over the next couple of months, with international borders opening in Phase 3, planned for October 1st. Resumption of international flights will be allowed in October as long as they respect the sanitary control measures for passengers and planes.

This is subject to regulation by a Cabinet decree. The viability of this plan will depend on three conditions:
– The ability to manage the evolution of the pandemic
– The national health system’s guaranteed response capacity
– The robust ability to perform tests

Therefore, it is with regret that Love The Oceans will not be able to run any of our planned programs in 2020 due to the pandemic. However, we already have applications open for 2021 so please reach out if you’re interested in joining us.
